I’m Vic Joshi, a native Bay Area resident and an independent home loan expert helping home buyers and investors with mortgage loans since 1997. I work with clients through my company, Straight Deal Mortgage, where I have access to over 100 lenders. I have access to nearly every available mortgage loan product available including FHA, VA, USDA, Non-Qm, Reverse Mortgage, and over 50 Jumbo lenders.
I work out of my penthouse office overlooking Oakland, California, and I’m currently licensed in California, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Texas, and Florida. We both know that mortgage lending as it exists today has rules that make no sense. The mortgage process can be exhausting for clients, especially for first-time home buyers who don’t know where to turn for information or how to make decisions on one of the biggest financial transactions of their lives.
I’d like to form working relationships with a select group of
realtors who share my values and work ethic
to help clients create the best home loan experience possible. I currently work with a few realtors in my home San Francisco Bay Area regularly, but I’d like to build working relationships in more areas where I’m licensed.
My goal is to create comfortable and efficient working relationships with a few listing and buying agents who I can work with to make the home buying process the best it can be for our mutual clients.

I can close loans in 15-21 days and in many cases and can help home buyers write offers without requiring a loan or appraisal contingency. - Generous availability
I work well beyond bank hours and am generally available until late evening during the week and on the weekends. I try to be available when clients need me, when they themselves have odd working hours, their own commitments to work around, and for those who live in other time zones. - Patient guide
As you’ll see if you read my client reviews, I’m a patient guide for clients learning the ropes. I spend a generous amount of time with each one to educate them about the mortgage process, and I regularly publish helpful information for buyers online. - Driven to find the best deal
I’m driven to find the best loan solution for home buyers, and as a result of my over 25 years in the industry, I’ve pretty much seen it all. I’ve become a Mortgage Whisperer who can bust through those difficult deals our clients sometimes present us with, and I pride myself on getting the best result possible for clients.

Since I can perform the loan process from beginning to end myself, my offering is much more efficient and timelier than working through a bank that has an assembly line process where each part of the loan process is handled by a different people. I have become adept at working under pressure and deadlines so that I can usually perform at the last minute when needed.
